Training Course

23-29 July 2016 | Larache, Morocco

The project will gather 40 youth worker who deal with youth at risks, either in an informal milieu or in formal institutions like school and youth centers.

Our philosophy at Föreningen Framtidståget is to provide help to disadvantaged youth no matter what backgrounds they come from, and the following project is one of many attempts to make the world a better place for future generations.
This idea was the result of years of social work within our organisation, coupled with the success of the similar project we implemented in Belarus that inspired us to expand on new countries and cultures. Then we also included the illegal immigration dimension especially in the light of the recent crisis going all around Europe.
They project is divided into two activities which share the same overall aim: The distribution of experience of work with youth at risk between personal assistants to improve the quality of work with such youth.
The main objectives of the project are:
– To reflect on youth at risk situation in partner countries,
– To train youth workers and develop their skills and knowledge in this field,
– To promote involvement in voluntary work with such youth,
– To share participants experiences on work with youth at risk and to build better cooperation in the field.
– To discuss the topic of minors illegal immigration to Europe from Africa and the Middle east.
During the working days, the participants will share opinions and ideas on work with youth at risk and will be involved in various activities. They will learn about Motivational Talk, Cognitive Skills, Ethics and Moral, Angst Management, 12 Steps Programme, Cards Methodology and other methods and tools of work with youth at risk from various backgrounds, since we will also include the topic of minors illegal immigration.
Both activities will be based mainly on Non Formal Learning Methodology, active participation, group-work and teamwork, as well as other various theoretical inputs which will characterize the project.
Also, the project targets youth leaders, youth workers and volunteers who are directly involved into the “contact friends” project. The youth workers will learn more about good practices of “contact friends” as a tool of reintegrating not only disadvantaged youth back into the community but also bring all the necessary work to minor illegal immigrants.
Participants will learn more about such topics as inclusion, participation, integration and above all will get equipped with important life
