The project “Home” promotes and supports the role of young people in activities that contribute to dialogue through a network of specifically trained young people who promote the values of the European citizenship in communities facing refugee crises.

By December 2015, around 1 million of people was entering the EU and neighboring countries either escaping conflict or searching of safety and better life. Youth work is readily engaging with refugee related issues/conflict, whether because the participants are dealing with different kinds of related issues or because it takes place in conflict regions that was or is hosting refugees or people leave the country as refugees.
The project “Home” has 2 activities: Training Course in Armenia and Study Visit in Luxembourg.
Study Visit “Home” will take place in Luxembourg, Luxembourg from 8. April. 2017 (Arrival) to 15 April. 2017 (Departure).
OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY VISIT “HOME”

• To discover the youth work and youth NGOs’ reality in the country hosting refugees;
• To get to know policy developed by the Government of Luxembourg related to refugees;
• To understand the influence of armed conflict, closed borders and plus refugees crises on the daily life of young people and how that affects their behavior and mentality;
• To create a space for dialogue among youth and youth workers from Europe and its neighbor countries for fostering transnational cooperation/trans-regional cooperation in refugees related issues;
• To promote peace education and non-violent conflict resolution among youth in the country and in the region;
• To highlight the role of new youth programme (Erasmus +) in the process of peace-building and intercultural learning.

The participants will be 35 youth workers, youth leaders and professionals involved in education and/or training, volunteers working with young people and young leaders that meet the following criteria:
• aged over 20 years;
• English Language and communication skills;
• Ability to implement activities in their local community;
• The need to improve skills and competences relating to the topic of the project;
• Willingness to cooperate and develop future projects in Erasmus +;
• The role/ involvement with Youth Work and the sending organization.
• Trainers, professors, educators and people who work with youth;
